Xiaomi just made my jaw down with the launch of POCO F1. I will say it as a flagship which you can get in just 20999 rupees. Want to make your jaw down? Let's go through the specifications.

OS: MIUI 9.6 with POCO customization on top of Android 8.1 (Oreo).
Price: 20999-28999 Rupees.

Design:

The POCO F1 is made of plastic. So, it does not look like a premium phone at all. But it will be fare over fancy looking glass back phone when dropped (although it will be more prone to scratches than glass). In the back there is the dual camera setup with a fingerprint underneath and a LED flash beside. There is a big notch in the front like the Mi 8. The volume and power buttons are a bit thin for comfort and they are crisp and clicky. There is a USB Type C port at the bottom and a 3.5 mm headphone jack on top of the phone.
There is a 'Armoured Edition' for the 256 GB ROM and 8 GB RAM version which is made of Kevlar material. Kevlar material is used in aviation and for millitary purposes. So, this version of POCO F1 feels sturdy in hand and increases it's premium-ship a bit.

Display:
The display is good with it's high brightness and the punchy colours.

Performance:

Liquid Cool Technology

The performance of POCO F1 is insane. It packs a Snapdragon 845 processor with a highest clock speed of 2.8 GHz and AI core along with up-to 8 GB RAM. Besides the MIUI 9.6 with POCO customization ensures more fast performance in app launching, foreground task and swiping. There is a liquid cool technology as well which cools the CPU consistently and ensures fast performance for a longer period of time. You can say it as a hardcore gaming phone man!

Cameras:
The sensors used in the back camera of POCO F1 is same of Mi 8 or Mi Mix 2S. So, it's a flagship camera setup. The results are great as expected. The POCO F1 takes great shots in well lit conditions with good amount of details. The portrait mode is great with so good edge detection. It beats the Redmi Note 5 Pro and Mi A2 in this segment easily. The AI mode increases the saturation in photos which is a good thing. So, the colour reproduction is not that good. In low light the white balance messes up a bit which is acceptable although.

The front cameras are good as well with pixel binning technology which takes some awesome selfies along with portrait mode. But they are not exceptional.

Battery:
The battery is very good and comes with QuickCharge 3.0. There is 9V/2A fast charger packed along with the phone as well.

Other features:
1. MIUI 9.6 with POCO Customization: This custom ROM comes with a Turbo Charged Engine which deals in faster app startup, faster foreground app and faster swiping experience. In a speed test this MIUI became faster than OnePlus 6's Oxygen OS with a score of 36 over 19. This version of MIUI comes along with a App Drawer which is amazing. Besides the app drawer groups apps automatically and also let you hide apps. Beside these this is a usual MIUI with all it's features.

2. IR Face Unlock: POCO F1 sports a IR sensor at the notch in front of the phone which ensures safe Face Unlock even in dark.

3. Android Updates: POCO F1 will get the Android P on Q4 2018. Along with this the phone will get security updates as well.
4. Stereo Speakers: The ear piece on POCO F1 acts as a speaker along with the single speaker at bottom. Together they get quite loud.

Conclusion:
When I heard of POCO F1 coming with Snapdragon 845, I thought there will be some compromises. But when the phone actually released, I was failed to find one fault. The POCO F1 is the best in the mid-range. I will say it's much better than the Honor Play and even OnePlus 6! I know you are getting excited to buy the phone. If you want to buy one for yourself you can buy it here at Flipkart.
