VLC 2.0

Image
After almost half a year VLC got it's update from 1.7.0 to 2.0 in Android. New VLC 2.0 got some awesome features. 1. On the right corner of the top there's a Playlist button now which was missing in previous VLC 1.7.0. 2. Now VLC 2.0 supports Pop-Out videos, so multitasking will be refreshed in supported devices.   3. Now it'll support DLNA/UPnP, Windows Shares, FTP, SFTP, NFS protocols to broad network support. 4. The advanced setting options are redesigned.   5. History option back again.   So, update your VLC, but make sure your device supports the version. If not you have to stay with another update VLC 1.7.5, which is not as good as VLC 2.0.

Huawei Honor 5C

Image
Huawei on the go again with their Honor 5C. Display:  5.2 inch with 1080 X 1920 resolution & 424 ppi. Processor: HiSilicon Kirin 650, octa-core at clock speed of 2.0 GHz. RAM: 2 GB. Memory: 16 GB internal & expandable up-to 256 GB. Battery: 3000 mAh with Quick Charge 2.0 (60% in 30 min). Camera:  13 MP rear with LED flash & 8 MP front camera. Specifications are quite decent looking at the price point. But Huawei has became a good brand nowadays. The phone is premium & good enough to handle day to day use. Even the Kirin processors are really good to handle games! Price is $140 dollars or 9400 INR, so price wise a decent phone but not exceptional, but it's 'Huawei' now.

OnePlus is launched OnePlus 3 in India. Let's find out the specifications. Display:  5.5 inch with 1080 X 1920 resolution & 401 ppi with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It's a Super AMOLED Panel. Processor:   Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 ( MSM8996), octa-core  with clock speed of 2.15 GHz. RAM:  6 GB. Memory:  64 GB internal & not expandable. Battery:  3000 mAh with DASH Charging (60% in 30 min). Camera:  16 MP rear with dual LED flash, phase detection auto-focus & OIS & 8 MP front camera. A full metal uni-body design at just 0.29 inch thickness always catches the eye, though there is a camera bump (Hate that!). As it's a Full HD  Super AMOLED panel colour is rich & vibrant but not crisp as a 4K  Super AMOLED  display. No argument about the processor, it's the best that you can get now in the world. 6 GB RAM (Oh! that's the best part.). This RAM makes the phone super-fast & smooth as the competitors come with 4 GB of RAM. Does not support

Battery: 4000 mAh with Quick Charge 2.0 (60% in 30 min). Camera:  12 MP rear with dual LED flash, phase detection auto-focus & OIS & 5 MP front camera. Oh! it's almost like the S7. But why Samsung calling it tough. Because the phone is 'Shatter Proof'. The phone is also IP68 certified, means it dust & water proof (you can keep the phone over 1.5 meters or 5 feet for 30 min). Yes, the phone is so thick, but there is reason. There is a rubber case around it to protect from falling, the case is overfed the screen to ensure protection to it. Though there is only C

Paranoid Android

Image
Paranoid Android was a Custom ROM (just alike the CyanogenMod) which lost in February, 2015 as many of the developers went to OnePlus to develop Oxygen OS. Now Paranoid Android is coming back this July with a new ROM based on Android Marshmellow 6.0.. The ROM will feature the same of previous with some more. Floating Window Mode, Immersive Mode, Quick Settings Reorder Mechanism, Paranoid OTA Update, Theme Engine all are polished to make the ROM better. 'OPPO" & 'OnePlus" phones will get some extra features. Ok, what's the features really are? Let's talk about some. 1. Floating Window Mode: It's a pretty good feature which turns on apps in a floating windows. 2. Immersive Mode: It hides the bottom control bar and top notification bar to experience a full screen mode. 3. Quick Settings Reorder Mechanism: It's a pretty good feature by which you can rearrange quick settings toggles very easily. 4. Theme Engine: With the Theme Engine of P

Project Tango

Image
Google's Project Tango is a project to make our mobile phones know their exact location. Means with the success of this project mobile phones with the technology will be able to know their own location & guide you through their knowledge. So, it can guide you through indoor places like shopping malls, auditoriums & every indoor places you can think of like our eyes do, but with information. For example, where you'll get clothes, foods or something else in a shopping mall. So, it's a awesome technology. It'll work on basis of three things. Motion Tracking, Depth Perception & Area Learning. It'll work like mouse on your mouse pad just here the mouse pad will be the 3D world. Lenovo is working on such a device. The device will sport a 6.4 inch display, lot of sensors including three cameras to define it's 3D position, a fingerprint sensor on the back &...  Oops! Don't know. It's going secretly. So, for now let's wait

Fold-able Phone by Samsung

Image
Samsung is working on it's fold-able phone. Yes this is a good response to the Plastic OLED displays (I've written a different blog on Plastic OLED displays). They might working on two phones. 1. A two folded phone like the Galaxy W (2016) or we can call it a wallet-type phone. 2. A 5 inch phone that'll turn into a 8 inch phone (that's cool!). As of now no predictions are there just the two. The name of the phone series might be Galaxy 'X'. They can launch the phones on MWC 2017 Barcelona in February. This going to be awesome tech revolution. You should check the video to get an idea of it.

Camera:  13 MP rear with dual LED flash & 5 MP front camera. The phone sports a full metal uni-body design. Speaker are in bottom & finger-print sensor at front. The phone is good at design but not so in performance instead of having 4 GB of RAM, it's quite slow to process graphics while playing games as the GPU,  Mali-T860MP2 is quite less powerful sporting just two cores. Day to day task is quite fluid including multitasking. Battery is good as it's a 4000 mAh one.  The OS is called 'Android Steroid' which is near Stock Android experience, so lesser bugs.  Cameras are decent not best on it's price. The best part i
