What to do when your phone is lost?

I'm listing the to do list. Before you start you should know that your phone should have data connection.

1. Go to Play Store on your PC.

2. Sign in with your Google account. You must have same Google account on your phone signed in.

3. Install Android Device Manager, this'll install Android Device Manager on your device remotely.

4. Go to Android Device Manager's Desktop Page.

5. Sign in with your Google account

6. Then there will be options like this with the location of your device.

7. You can 'Ring' your device if you feel it lost nearby & you can hear it, 'Lock' your device if the phone has lost to your known places & you can get that some time after & 'Erase' the device if you lost the phone in public place & you don't have any idea about it. You can leave a short message & your contact number as the lock screen of the phone when lost with a password that only you'll know.

If the process doesn't work you should go to Police Station, I'll suggest to go Police Station directly. Don't try to get the yourself as it can risk your life.

I'm giving some advice when you buy a phone.

1. Note down your device's unique ID at your safest place, as it's needed for Police En-query.

2. Install Android Device Manager in your phone.

3. Always stay with caution while travelling outside.
