Redmi 6 Pro

So, if you want a phone with dual cameras on back and two-day battery life along with a notch on a more pocket friendly package than the Redmi Note 5 Pro then here's a phone for you, Redmi 6 Pro. It's basically the Indian version of the Chinese variant of Mi A2 Lite. Let's go through the specifications first.

Display: 5.84 inch IPS LCD display with 1080×2280 resolution (19:9) and a notch.
Chip-set: Octa-core Qualcomm® Snapdragon© 625.
Variants: 32 GB ROM with 3 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM with 4 GB RAM.
microSD Card Support: Supports up-to 256 GB.
Cameras: 12 MP (f/2.2, 1.25 micro meter, PDAF) with 5 MP (f/2.2, 1.12 micro meter, Depth Sensor) rear cameras and 5 MP (f/2.2) front camera.
OS: MIUI 9.6 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo.
Battery: 4000 mAh.
Price: Starting from ₹10,999.

Design: The phone basically carries the modern design language of Xiaomi devices and looks like the Redmi 6. But the phone is bigger with 5.84 inch display. The sides are curvy, the display has a 2.5D glass finish and fits in the hand perfectly with a good grip. The speakers are at the bottom which is a better place than placing it on the back of the phone. There's a 19:9 display with a not so big notch which is equipped with a front camera, ear piece and sensors.

Display: The display is very good with a 1080×2280 resolution. The colours are vibrant and crispy. And the display is bigger than usual, so you will enjoy watching contents. There's a notch, but you can hide that if you want.

Performance: The Snapdragon© 625 is a good processor and have been Xiaomi's favourite from a long time. The CPU is still very powerful. Day to day task will be easy to handle as well as moderate gaming. The phone played the PUBG game without any problem in smooth settings on a review by Gogi Tech. The temperature raised to just 38°C after playing one match of the game which is pretty good.

Camera: The camera is same as on the Redmi 6. The phone captures pretty good photos with the back cameras as well as front camera in day light. But in low light the camera struggles a bit. There is a AI portrait mode for the rear camera as well as for the front camera which is great at this price. You can choose between a circular or a parallel blur effect there. As there is AI, you will get the best shot with just tapping on the object and capturing it without controlling the manual settings of the phone.

Battery: 4000 mAh battery with Snapdragon© 625 SoC and well optimized MIUI 9.6 will give you a battery life of 1.5 days on average or even 2 days.

Special Features:

1. There is triple slot in place of hybrid SIM slot in this phone. That means you can use 2 SIMs simultaneously along with a microSD card (I needed this the most).

2. There is Face Unlock feature which works well.

But the phone does not supports dual 4G standby like the Redmi 6A or Redmi 6 which is a downside. But the other features overpasses this like a better display, more powerful processor and better battery.

You can buy a Redmi 6 for yourself from amazon.in from 11 September, 2018.
