Samsung Galaxy S7 Active
Samsung is launching Galaxy S7 Active. A phone that will be so tough. Let's find out the specification.
Display: 5.1 inch with 1440 X 2560 resolution & 576 ppi with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Yes! it's a Super AMOLED Panel.
Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (MSM8996), octa-core with clock speed of 2.15 GHz.
RAM: 4 GB.
Memory: 32 / 64 GB internal & expandable up-to 256 GB.
Battery: 4000 mAh with Quick Charge 2.0 (60% in 30 min).
Camera: 12 MP rear with dual LED flash, phase detection auto-focus & OIS & 5 MP front camera.
Oh! it's almost like the S7. But why Samsung calling it tough. Because the phone is 'Shatter Proof'. The phone is also IP68 certified, means it dust & water proof (you can keep the phone over 1.5 meters or 5 feet for 30 min). Yes, the phone is so thick, but there is reason. There is a rubber case around it to protect from falling, the case is overfed the screen to ensure protection to it. Though there is only Corning Gorilla Glass 4 in front of the screen Samsung calling it 'Shatter Proof'. There's no issue with Performance, Camera & Battery (even I'll say the battery is exceptional giving you 2 days of battery). No capacitive keys, only hard keys in the front to make it sturdier. Finger-print sensor is aligned with the home button.
So, S7 Active is mostly alike the S7, but with extra durability, extra battery & a rigid look, compromising on S7's premium metal-glass look. And you have to pay $100 more to buy the Active version, but believe it worth the money.
So, go ahead to buy a 'Military Grade' smartphone. But it hasn't unlocked yet, you can get it only in USA via A&T. So... wait until it gets unlocked.
