Samsung Galaxy Note9

The Galaxy Note has put the latest technology on the hands of those who demands it the most since it's inception. No exception in this year's Galaxy Note too. Galaxy Note9 is the best Galaxy Note ever.

GPU: Global: ARM Mali-G72 MP18, U.S.A.: Adreno 630.

Battery: 4000 mAh with Quick Charge 2.0 and Qi/PMA Wireless Charging (Market Dependent).
Price: 68876 Rupees (128 GB ROM and 6 GB RAM) and 86112.31 Rupees (512 GB ROM and 8 GB RAM).

Design: The design has not changed a lot from previous year's Note8. It's the same glass and metal design with a box like look, curved edges and infinity display. But if you look closer you will see some tweaks from the previous year's Note:
1. The sides are more flatter.
2. The camera visor is more scrunched and smaller.
3. The fingerprint reader is moved to the bottom of the camera.
4. The bezels are slightly smaller.

Display: The 1440p display of Note9 is the largest in any Note with 6.4 inches. The Super Amoled panel is super bright, super vibrant and probably the best display on any smartphone till date. You will enjoy the display a lot.

Performance: The high end global version of Note9 comes with Samsung's latest cutting edge Exynos 9810 SoC, ARM Mali-G72 MP18 GPU, 8 GB of RAM and Water Carbon Fibre Cooling System inside the phone which ensures speedy performance for a longer period of time. The phone is one of the beasts in smartphone market.

Cameras: The cameras are mostly same as last year's Note8. The dual aperture helps to enter more light for better low light photography. The new feature is the AI scene detection which intelligently optimizes the colours and also detects flaws (like a closed eye) to deliver better quality images. But does the AI scene detection worthy for a photographic person? I think no. You can do that later by editing as well. But for a normal person it will deliver a better experience.

Battery: The Note9 packs the largest battery on any Note. Actually the main focus of Samsung on Note9 was the battery. The phone will easily last for a full day for more than moderate uses. Hope Note9 will overcome the faults of Note7 which was a failure of Samsung in the battery department.

Special Features:
1. All New S Pen: S Pen has always been the factor than differs Samsung Galaxy Notes from other phones. This year the S Pen got Bluetooth Low Energy Technology along with a button on side. So, you can remotely control the phone to do different things with a single press, double press or long press like:
a. You can long press the button to launch the camera, double press to switch between the cameras and single press to capture a picture.
b. You can show a presentation without touching your phone.
But as the S Pen works through Bluetooth, it needs charging. Samsung has implemented a super capacitor inside the S Pen which can make the S Pen work for 30 minutes (200 clicks) by plugging it to the phone for 40 seconds.

2. 1 TB Storage: With the high end model of Note9 (512 GB) you can achieve a whooping 1 TB storage by inserting a 512 GB microSD card.
3. Samsung DeX: By DeX you can convert your phone into a PC and work with ease by connecting it through a cable.
4. IP68 Water Resistant
5. 3.5 mm Head Phone Jack
6. Iris Scanner
7. Heart-rate Monitor

Does it worth upgrading from Note8?
You may heard of the rumours that Note9 is just the previous year's Note8 but I'll say it's not just that. You can see the specifications (4000 mAh battery, 512 GB internal storage, S Pen with Bluetooth, AI Scene Recognition in cameras), yes, it does worth the upgrade.

The phone is available in four different colours: Midnight Black, Ocean Blue (The one which comes with a Yellow Stylus), Lavender Pink and Metallic Copper.

So, that is the Note9. Do you like the phone? Do you think it's not a worthy upgrade over Note8? Let me know in the comment section below.
