Blackberry Mercury

Blackberry is working on its new phone, Mercury. TCL has taken over the hardware department of Blackberry in 2016, so they will be manufacturing the phone over the actual Blackberry. However the Canadian & Chinese companies will be contributing the same.

Let's take a look on the specifications.

Display: 4.5 inch Full HD display with 1620×1080 resolution.
Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 or 625.
RAM: 4 GB.
Memory: 64 GB internal.
Camera: 18 or 13 MP rear camera & 8 MP front camera.
Battery: 3140 mAh.



 All the specifications are of idea. Because TCL announced the phone at CES through a 22 s video, not talking more about it. But some hands on set was there.

 Looking at the specifications it's OK. But the phone is coming with a physical qwerty keyboard and the famous security features of a Blackberry, that's the awesome fact for Blackberry fans. The keyboard will support swipe scrolling as Blackberry Priv.


When TCL took over Blackberry & launched the DTEK50 & 60, it was disappointment to some Blackberry fans as they love the keyboard Blackberry offers. This time TCL got this. So, Blackberry fans it's yours again.

 No idea when the phone will launch, but it's happening this year sure.

 The names Motorola, Nokia & Blackberry was really great once, they are not that same now. But it can change anytime.
