OnePlus 5

OnePlus is one of the best low-cost mobile brand on this planet. They offers specifications like a high-cost flagship but in a much lower price. Even the quality of their phones had been always good. After the update 3T over 3 OnePlus launched 5 with new generation specifications. Let's go through the specifications first.

OnePlus 5

Display: 5.5 inch Optic AMOLED™ Full HD display with 1080×1920 resolution (401 ppi) & Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Processor: Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 835.
RAM: 6/8 GB.
Memory: 64/128 GB internal.
Camera: Dual rear cameras (16 MP & 20 MP) & 16 MP front camera.
Battery: 3300 mAh.
Price: ₹32999 (6 GB RAM & 64 GB ROM) & ₹37999 (8 GB RAM & 128 GB ROM).

Design: It's not a revolutionary design but a pleasing one. A metal design always looks good. The back panel tapers, so it looks so good as well as feels good to hold the phone. 2.5D front curve also makes the phone beautiful. A home button integrated with finger-print sensor, it looks great you know. Overall, the design is simple and eye-pleasing.

Display: The standard display for a flagship is Quad HD now, but OnePlus is sticking to a Full HD one. Although this Optic AMOLED™ Full HD panel is probably the best Full HD display till date. But as you know it can't compete with a Quad HD one in terms of sharpness. The colours are vibrant, black is deep black and sunlight readability is also so good in OnePlus 5.

Performance: Snapdragon™ 835, the best processor till date. With Adreno 540 GPU and huge 6/8 GB RAM the phone is a beast. A normal user will never need that much of power. But it's good to keep a Iron-Man suit with you (Ha ha!). For the large amount of RAM, every apps will be stored in the RAM and when you need them it will jump to you. The interface is smooth and touch response is very good too.

Camera: It's became a usual factor that a flagship will sport a dual camera. But some features of OnePlus 5 in it's dual camera set up makes it stand out from the crowd. For OnePlus 5 the secondary lens has more resolution than the main one. For most smartphones it's just the opposite or they sports the same resolution. The main camera is 16 MP one with aperture of f/1.7 and EIS. The secondary one is 20 MP telephoto lens, with f/2.6 aperture. The combination can give you a 2x (1.6x optical & 0.4x through SmartCapture multi-frame technology) zoom without compromising on quality. OnePlus 5 takes good pictures. Pictures are sharp & colours stay natural. But for low light photography the pictures come quite noisy as the secondary camera of f/2.6 aperture has no OIS or EIS. As I mentioned above OnePlus 5 stands out from the crowd of dual camera set up with it's features. The camera software features portrait mode by which you can take a shot with nice blurry background like a DSLR. There is manual mode (which I think every flagship should possess). So, you can control ISO, white balance, shutter speed, focus and exposure. The 16 MP front camera is also great. Overall, the camera of OnePlus 5 is great!

Battery: The battery is 3300 mAh. You will get a battery life of 1.5 days with moderate use. The Dash Charge is a great thing as well. 60% of charge in just 30 min.

For conclusion, OnePlus built a competition with itself and there OnePlus 5 really stands out as well as in mobile phone industry. I will prefer it for it's UI, smoothness and overall it's a beast.
