Manually Control Smartphone Camera

Image
With the development of phone industry, the need of manual controls in camera is also increasing. Let's take a look on the manual controls in a mobile camera. To take good pictures you first have to know about 'Exposure Triangle' (ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture & Exposure). ISO ISO level controls the sensitivity of camera to light. At lower ISO level the camera captures less light & at higher ISO level the camera captures more light. So, putting ISO level higher while taking picture can help to take brighter pictures in low light conditions, but it will cost you some extra noise. You should know that taking pictures in high ISO level puts the aperture of the camera opened for a bit long time to capture more light. So, it can produce blurriness while taking picture of moving bodies. But, if you are taking picture of still bodies, you always can use the trick to capture more light. When you want more details you should go with lower ISO level. But

Coolpad Cool 1

Image
LeEco and Coolpad worked together to make a phone which breaks the limitations in the field of specifications according to price. At first let's go through the specifications: Display:  5.5 inch Full HD display with 1080×1920 resolution & ~401 ppi. Processor:  Qualcomm Snapdragon 652. RAM:  3 / 4 GB. Memory:  32 / 64 GB internal. Camera:  Dual 13 MP rear camera (f/2.0) & 8 MP front camera (f/2.2). Battery:  406 0 mAh. So, specification wise the phone is awesome. Specially the dual cameras. Flying Cars and our Future

Image
Many dreams of past has become reality yet, as for a super transmitter in our pocket which helps us to communicate with anyone on our planet, we can map human genome now or gather the whole world's information in our fingertip any time. But somewhere flying car is missing. History of flying car: Ted Hall was the first aeronautical engineer to introduce the first fully functioning flying car with Convair (a major airplane manufacturer of that time). The car was a combination of road car and attachable wings. The prototype had a total of 66 successful flights. But a crash in 1947 during landing shut downed the project as well as the dream of Hall. Today's actual, working & flying prototypes: The companies Terrafugia, AeroMobil and Moller International have their own such prototypes. So, yes there are flying cars which work really effortlessly. Then why flying cars are not for mass yet? Humans are horrible drivers, that's the reason.

Bacteria Powered Batteries

Image
Researchers at Binghamton University in New York created a Bacteria Powered Battery. The researchers said their aim is to make batteries will run for week with a little amount of bacteria rich liquid. They used  a piece of chromatography paper and a ribbon of silver nitrate under a layer of wax. The  anode was made of a conductive polymer on the other half of the paper and a reservoir held bacteria-rich liquid. The cellular respiration powered the battery. The batteries expel 31.51 mW at 125.53 mA with six batteries in three parallel series and 44.85 mW at 105.89 mA in a 6×6 configuration. So, how the batteries will be used? Yes, not to run your car or even phone. But researchers believe these batteries can run glucose sensors, pathogen detectors & can keep small electronics alive for weeks.

iFixit Award 2016

Image
iFixit gives a award every year to the most repairable phones. This year they gave it again. Which phone won that? 1. Yes, no doubt it's LG G5. The modular design of the phone makes it highly repairable. The phone scored 8/10, so it's comparably easier to fix it's internal parts as well. 2. The next place goes to Google's Pixel Duo (7/10), but it's hard to open the phone without breaking the display. 3. Next place is for the Apple iPhone 7 & 7 Plus (6/10). Repairing the display & battery of iPhones are easier but other parts are hard to repair at home. The phone requires 4 different types of screw drivers. The most popular phone, Samsung Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge got the last place (3/10). Glue is used more over screws in the phones, so, it's very hard to open the phone at home. Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is in the upper place of S7 (4/10), but it's banned now. But does repairability matters? I think no, cause most people takes t

Why Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is exploding?

Image
There are some probable causes that Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is exploding. Listing those below. Bad batteries: The batteries of the first batch of Note 7 was manufactured by Samsung's own SDI unit. A small manufacturing defect in the batteries could lead the battery to a short circuit within the cell to continue the battery to heat up & catch on fire or explode. The batteries of the second batch of Note 7, made by Amperex Technology Ltd (ATL) was reported to have same defect. Not enough space: This could be a problem as well. The phone has very short space inside it for it's lots of feature. The short space can produce a tension force inside the battery which can lead positive & negative poles to come in contact to create short circuit. This tension can also make the highly dense layers inside the battery to come in contact and make an overall impact of catching up fire or explosion. The demand of first charging: Samsung added a Dialogue DA9155 with the
