Design: For iPhone X, the device is the display as the new smartphone trend is going on. It's glass (Apple claiming it's the most durable glass on any phone) on the back this time to make the phone water resistant and for wireless charging. For the frame it's surgical grade stainless steel. The front of the phone looks a bit odd to me for the front unsymmetrical bezel. Even the back of iPhone 8 Plus looks better than the iPhone X in my opinion. But build quality is great and 'the device is the display' tag is welcome. No Home button, the new iPhone X is controlled by swipes.
Display: The display is a Super Retina one which dazzles the eye. It's OLED technology which delivers accurate-stunning colours, true blacks, high brightness of 1000000 to 1 contrast ratio. Using innovative folding and circuit stacking technology, the OLED panel follows the curves of the device into the farthest reaches of the corners. Then it uses a process called subpixel anti-aliasing to tune individual pixels for smooth, distortion-free edges. There is a True Tone Technology as well to reduce eye-strain which corrects white balance of the screen with 6 channel ambient light sensor. You see pictures in Dolby Vision and HDR10 which really looks great. The glass on both front and back is 50% deeper which makes it most durable of ever. There is seven ink process to precise hues and opacity. A reflective optical layer is also given to enhance the colours. iPhone X assures you not to be worried about smudges and fingerprints.
